HANDPICKED BY GOD — It is, by all accounts, because of Elder Charles McCarley’s fervent desire to demonstrate love the way God specifically commands us that the historic Tabernacle Of Praise Church has become the beacon of light for which it is widely known in Buffalo, New York as well as throughout the Body of Christ.

When asked when he sensed that God was strategically preparing him for ministry, Pastor McCarley stated, “I became unsatisfied with ministry as usual. I believed there had to be more to this than just church Sunday after Sunday.”
​
That, as a result, practically sums up why McCarley felt it was time to ask God for a broader sense of direction, to order his steps the more, if you will…you know, to position and develop him so that he could, in turn, exemplify a proverbial monumental impact, particularly as it pertains to advancing the kingdom.
​
“I began to search for God and, within that search, it taught me how to love people and that sparked my heart toward the community,” McCarley explained. “Our church has to be community centered so that they can see the love of Christ through the people of God.”
​

Lady Rachel McCarley

Lady Rachel McCarley is the wife of our pastor and First Lady of our ministry.

Aside from being the beloved, big-hearted First Lady of Buffalo, New York’s Tabernacle Of Praise Church, McCarley is widely known as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for New York State (Psychotherapist), a professional musician, singer, songwriter, and recording artist, as well as an accomplished educator and empowerment speaker.

“I consider myself a lifelong student. I love education and gravitate towards opportunities to learning.”
​
Besides her notable contributions through the education sector, McCarley is an accomplished businesswoman as Founder of Rachel’s Experience Inc. (or RE Inc.), a Buffalo-based nonprofit organization that is geared largely toward designing, facilitating, and implementing experiences to help women, men, families and communities prevent diseases, promote cognitive health, thus produce spiritual fruit.
